Meet Our Team

Carol – Practice Manager

Carol has been with our practice since its inception.  She has over 20 years of experience in medicine, with roles ranging from office manager, to hospital and laboratory sales and marketing, to physician relations.  Her role includes overseeing the daily operations of the practices and accommodating the financial needs of our patients.  Carol was born and raised in Northern Kentucky as one of seven children.  She is the proud mother of Tiffany and Shane, although she will tell you that the greatest title she has ever held is Grandmother to 4 adoring grandchildren.  Outside of the office, Carol enjoys shopping, cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.

Penny – Practice Manager

Penny joined our staff in 2011.  Penny has 20 years experience in office management with the majority of that experience in the dental field.  Penny enjoys working with patients and assisting in navigating the administrative side of their care.  Penny was born and raised in the Dayton area and has raised her family here as well. Her greatest joy has been to raise her children and to now spend time with her 4 precious grandchildren. Outside of the office, Penny enjoys socializing with family and friends, biking, boating and reading.

Amy - Dental Assistant

Amy joined our practice in 2011.  She has 25 years experience as a dental assistant.  Amy loves people and enjoys helping them feel comfortable through her natural compassion and caring.  Amy strives to provide the best quality care to her patients.  Outside the practice Amy enjoys her three children and working with her husband on their farm, gardening, swimming and spending time together.

Mariah – Dental Assistant

Mariah is a certified dental assistant and has been in the dental field since 2013. She completed her assistant schooling at Kaplan College and has since gained experience in general dentistry, oral surgery and periodontal surgery. She knew at a young age this was her passion with the support of her grandparents. Mariah has a fun-loving personality and fits in well at Harris periodontics and implant dentistry. She loves to be outdoors and spends most of her time in the sand playing volleyball with friends.

Sonja – Dental Hygienist

 Sonja has been a part of our team since 2013.  She graduated with honors as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Sinclair Community College in 2008.  Sonja’s passion for dental hygiene drives her desire to provide excellent oral care for her patients in a caring and comfortable atmosphere.  It is important to Sonja to help her patients understand the relationship between oral care and overall health.  Sonja loves get-togethers with family and friends, she enjoys the outdoors and hiking with her husband and Golden Retriever, Maya.

Tara – Dental Hygienist

 Tara joined the Harris Periodontics team in 2015. She graduated Sinclair Community College in 2008 with an Associate of Health Science in Dental Hygiene. Tara is passionate about offering thorough, patient centered care to everyone with a focus on patient comfort. She takes pride in maintaining the oral health and well-being of every patient as individuals. Tara enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her husband and wonderful children Blake, Ellie and Audrey.

Becky – Dental Hygienist

Becky joined the Harris Periodontics team in 2018.  She graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Sinclair Community College in 2002.  Becky is passionate about providing excellent patient care while maintaining patient comfort.  Her focus is to treat all patients as individuals and work together as a team to help them achieve optimum oral health.  Becky enjoys spending time with her husband and three girls, watching her kids sporting events and gardening.

Jennifer – Office Administration

Jennifer joined our practice in 2019.  She has been in the dental field since 1994 as a certified dental assistant and more recently in office administration.  Through her years in dentistry she prides herself in delivering excellent customer service to her patients and their family. Jennifer lives on a farm with her husband and 4 children.  She enjoys spending time with her family, watching kids sporting events, helping with their 4-H animals and projects as well as reading and traveling.

Serena  – Dental Assistant

Serena joined our team in 2020. She has 10 years experience in the dental field.  Serena finds it extremely rewarding to help give others the same joy and confidence she has personally experienced with dental surgery and dental implants.  She enjoys being alongside our patients helping them fully understand what to expect in the process of their individualized care.  Outside of work, Serena enjoys time with her husband Alex, daughter Ava and son Brenton, traveling, hiking, being on the water, playing board games and especially playing with the family dachshunds, Pepper and Bean.

Tori - Office Administration

Tori became a part of Harris Periodontics May of 2022. Tori is new in the dental field, however she has over 6 years of customer service and office management experience. Tori has a very positive attitude and outgoing personality. She believes in going above and beyond for her patients. She prides herself in providing top notch customer service to patients so they feel at ease and cared for. Tori was born and raised in Centerville Ohio and played soccer for 14 years. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her two kids, family and friends.

Shelbie - Dental Assistant

Shelbie has been in the dental field since 2013. Shelbie has experience in general dentistry and periodontal surgery! Shelbie’s love of people and her excellent clinical skills allow her to make patients feel comfortable during their visits. Outside of the office Shelbie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Joe and her two boys Rhylan and Landyn. Shelbie also enjoys watching her boys play sports, hanging out with family and friends and any activities in or near water!

Brittany - Dental Assistant

Brittany joined Harris Periodontics in May 2022 bringing her 7 years of dental assisting experience to our practice. Brittany has a passion for dentistry and for caring for people. She is a bright, friendly person who enjoys helping our patients understand and feel comfortable with treatment and providing assistance to our doctors for an excellent experience overall. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids, family and friends, she also enjoys shopping, the beach and water activities.

Liz - Dental Assistant

Liz joined our practice in 2022. She has 7 years of experience as a dental assistant. She enjoys helping patients feel more at ease during dental procedures. She is a great communicator and can easily explain complex procedures to patients. When she is not at the dental office she enjoys cooking, vacationing and spending time with her friends and family.

Kenzie - Dental Assistant

Kenzie returned to our practice in 2022. She has nearly 10 years of experience as a dental assistant. She has a passion for dental surgery and enjoys comforting patients during their treatment. When she is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her kids Noah and Fayth. She loves to camp, fish, and be outdoors with the kids and her boyfriend.
